Pete Lennon is one of the leading session stylists in Australia in high demand for editorial, advertising and celebrity clients. He also has a long standing salon presence at BLAEC in Woolloomooloo where he looks after an extensive list of fashion stylists, magazine editors and celebrities amongst his regular clientele.
Pete began hairdressing at the age of 18 and worked in Sydney’s most iconic salons : Lloyd Lomas, Garland and Garland and Helmet before moving to New York in 1996 to further his career. He took up residence at the Soho Grand’s Privè salon and started assisting one of Australia’s greatest hair exports : Max Pinnell – before emerging as a session stylist in his own right.
During his years in New York he worked on Victoria Secret campaigns and shows also working with Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. He was on set for a number of TVC’s for global hair brands including Clairol, Pantene + L’Oreal.
After 15 years working in NYC he returned to Australia and quickly established himself as one of the most in demand stylists working with leading magazines titles, stylists and photographers.
He was, and continues, to be a regular contributor to Vogue Australia and GQ and this year worked with Emma Summerton and Edward Enninful for British Vogue. His editorial credits are vast and include : Vogue Australia,,British Vogue,Vogue India, Vogue Taiwan,Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Instyle, JONES Magazine, Oyster, 10 Magazine and i-D. Campaign clients are numerous and include : Club 21, David Jones,Politix, Perri Cutten, BONDS, Mecca Cosmetica, Country Road, CUE Clothing, P.E. Nation, Camilla and Marc, SABA, Bailey Nelson, Palmolive, OPSM.
Celebrity clients include : Charli XCX, Maddison Brown, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Eliza Scanlen,STARLEY, Celeste Barber, Marta Dusseldorp, Darryl Hannah, Essie Davisand Jimmy Barnes . He is passionate about his craft and is a committed contributor to every creative project and team he is part of. His inspiration comes from art, fashion, music and sometimes nature. He is highly skilled technically with a solid belief that great hair forms an integral part of the overall image.
