About Cat Smith
Cat has spent over 15 years as a professional make-up artist both locally and internationally. She has worked across all aspects of the fashion industry as a highly regarded artist including editorial, advertising, campaign, lookbook, film, television, celebrity and bridal. Her signature is creating flawless, polished, beautiful make-up with an innate sensitivity to each brief or situation. From a natural ‘no make-up’ look to red carpet glamour Cat’s expertise and technical know-how ensures a perfect outcome.
Firmly entrenched in the world of fashion and runway – Cat has been Make-up Director and led many teams in Australia for fashion brands : Carla Zampatti, Ginger + Smart, Trelise Cooper, Gary Bigeni, JETS swimwear, TK Maxx and Georg Jensen. She has been a regular at Sydney Fashion Week for over 10 years and travels internationally to New York, Paris and Milan to join the backstage make-up teams of legends: Val Garland, Tom Pecheux, Gucci Westman, Erin Parsons, Thomas Dekluyver, Isamaya Ffrench, Diane Kendal, Gregoris Pyrpylis, Kabuki, Benjamin Puckey, Dick Page and more …. the show list is impressive !
Cat has also spent a great deal of time on the set of various television shows adapting to the different discipline of live on set recording. She has notched up several seasons on the VOICE, Australia’s Next Top Model, So You Think You Can Dance and Make Me a Supermodel. Her celebrity clients include : Hugh Jackman, Ruby Rose, Jessica Mauboy, Teresa Palmer, Catriona Rowntree.
Her advertising clients and the extensive list of leading photographers she has worked with is impressive and includes : Seafolly, Dion Lee, Bec & Bridge, Manning Cartell, Alice McCall, Sass & Bide, By Johnny, Institchu, Pippa Holt Kaftans Tree of Life, JETS and more.
